Was second on the team with nine doubles and third in RBIs (19) as he was named the starting shortstop in the All Star Game and following the season was rated as the No. 1 prospect by Baseball America in the NECBL ahead of teammate Mark Appel, who led the team in wins and was the No. 2 prospect ... began the summer leading the league in hitting, earning NECBL Player of the Week honors following a .480 week.
