As a sophomore in 2011: Went 6-7 with a 3.02 ERA as the Cardinal's top starter on Friday nights, producing a 3.02 ERA over 17 starts and 110.1 innings.. two of the starts were midweek affairs totaling 3.0 shutout innings... struck out 86 and walked 29 while giving up 114 hits for a .277 opponent batting average... gave up just two home runs all season... reached the sixth inning in all 15 of his weekend starts... struck out at least five in 12 of 15 starts and struck out at least seven in five starts... had two complete games, at USC (4/8) and against Kansas State (6/3) in the NCAA Regional... going against some of the top junior arms in the country, went 1-3 against Taylor Jungmann (Texas), Sonny Gray (Vandy) and Andrew Gagnon (LBSU).
