Stanford Alumni Baseball Game on Sunday

STANFORD, CA --- Stanford University will host its annual Alumni baseball doubleheader on Sunday at Sunken Diamond. Admission is free.

A three-inning Old Timers Game, featuring Stanford graduates from as far back as 1934 begins at noon. That will be immediately followed by a nine-inning game between the Alumni and the 1998 version of the Stanford Cardinal. Approximately 50 former Stanford players, including various current and former minor and major leaguers, have committed to play.

The 1997 Alumni game will also celebrate the 10th anniversary of Stanford's first College World Series crown in 1987. Many of the members of those back-to-back 1987 and 1988 championship teams will be in attendance.
