Top-Ranked Miami Stops Baseball In CWS Championship Game, 12-1
Miami's Kevin Brown hit a home run and had five RBIs Saturday, leading the Hurricanes to its second College World Series championship in three years with a 12-1 rout of Stanford. Miami ended the season with a 17-game winning streak and became the 18th team to go undefeated in the College World Series. Kevin Mannix drove in three runs for the Hurricanes (53-12), who won their fourth national title, the others coming in 1982, 1985, 1999. (more)
