The No. 1 men's cross country team continued their dominant run through the 2009 season by winning the West Regional Championship on Saturday morning at the Springfield Country Club. The title gives the Stanford men an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships in nine days. The No. 14 women also had a strong showing, finishing third and setting themselves up for an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships.

The poll comes after the ISU Pre-National races that featured most of the top teams in the nation competing at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Ind., site of the NCAA meet in November.
