Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of November 19-25: Arianna Lambie

Senior Arianna Lambie (Harvard, MA/The Bromfield School) of the Stanford women's cross country team was selected as the Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 19-25.

Lambie closed out a memorable collegiate career as she led Stanford with a ninth place finish in a time of 20:18.2 to earn All-American honors.  She finished in the top ten for the third year in a row, leading the Cardinal to its third consecutive national title.  After the season, Lambie was selected as the Pac-10 Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Year for the third straight season.

This is Lambie’s second Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the 2007-08 season.  The Cardinal Track & Field squad begins its indoor season on Friday, January 11 at the Arkansas Invitational.

Also nominated: Foluke Akinradewo (Volleyball), Tanner Gardner (wrestling), Jillian Harmon (Women’s Basketball), Anthony Kimble (Football), Janson Wigo (Men’s Water Polo), Robin Lopez (Men’s Basketball).
