Stanford, Ca - Sara Bei, a senior from Santa Rosa, led the #1 ranked Stanford women's cross country team to victory at the 31st annual Stanford Cross County Invitational on Saturday.

Bei toured the 4,000 meter course in a time of 13:16. Freshman Shannon Bergstedt finished second (13:55) while sophomore Katy Trotter placed third (13:56). Five Stanford runners finished in the Top 10.

In 6,000 meter competition, Anita Siraki won her second race of the season with a time of 21:14 as she helped lead the Cardinal to victory. Teresa McWalters finished second wihle Amanda Trotter finished third. Siraki open the 2004 season with a victory at the USF Invitational.

In men's competition, Peter Meindl and Neil Davis finished 1-2 in the 8,000 meter competition.
