2000 Cross Country Season (Sophomore): Enjoyed
an excellent season, competing in six races ...
Finished in the top six in four races (second at the
Fresno Invitational, two third place finishes at the
Stanford and Sacramento Invitationals, and sixth at
the Notre Dame Invitational) ... Also competed at
the Pre-NCAA's and the NCAA West Regional.
1999 Cross Country Season (Freshman):
Competed in three races, including a fourth place
showing at the Nevada Invitational.
1998 Cross Country Season: Redshirted.
2001 Track & Field Season (Junior): Competed in
the 5,000 and 10,000 meters ... Finished fourth in
the 10,000 meters and tenth in the 5,000 meters at
the Pacific-10 Championships in Berkeley to help
lead Stanford to its first conference title in 74 years
... Ran a career best 14:11.10 in the 5,000 meters at
the Stanford Invitational.
2000 Track & Field Season (Sophomore):
Competed in the 800, 1,500 and 5,000 meters ... His
time of 14:33.15 was a conference qualifying time.
1999 Track & Field Season (Freshman): Gained
valuable experience in his frosh campaign, competing
primarily in the 1,500 and 5,000 meters ...
Finished second in the 5,000 meters at the 1999 U.S.
Junior National Championships to earn a trip to the
Jr. Pan Am Games where he placed second ... Ran
14:25.01 for 5,000 meters at the Stanford Invitational.
High School: A two time all-state recipient in cross
country as well as track ... Also a talented swimmer
with five all-state nominations ... The winner of the
Wendy's High School Heisman Award for Missouri
... The 1998 star male Scholar Athlete of the Year for
Kansas City.
