Finished fourth in the 10,000 meters and tenth in the 5,000 meters at the Pacific-10 Championships in Berkeley to help lead Stanford to its first conference title in 74 years ... Ran a career best 14:11.10 in the 5,000 meters at the Stanford Invitational.

2000 Track & Field Season (Sophomore): Competed in the 800, 1,500 and 5,000 meters ... His time of 14:33.15 was a conference qualifying time.

1999 Track & Field Season (Freshman): Gained valuable experience in his frosh campaign, competing primarily in the 1,500 and 5,000 meters ... Finished second in the 5,000 meters at the 1999 U.S. Junior National Championships to earn a trip to the Jr. Pan Am Games where he placed second ... Ran 14:25.01 for 5,000 meters at the Stanford Invitational.
