High School: A three-time All-Central Coast Section selection ... the CCS Runner of the Year for track in 2011 ... holds the Monta Vista school record in the 1,600 (4:12.96) and 3,200 meters (8:59.84) ... also swam for Stanford Aquatics for 10 years.

Personal: Major is undeclared ... son of Cary Bishop and Irene Economy ... two younger siblings, brother Ryan and sister Kelly ... has a cousin, Brooke Bishop, who swam at Stanford and was an All-American and placed fourth at the 2008 U.S. Olympic trials in the 100-meter butterfly ... interested in reading, ping pong, swimming and eating.
