U.S. Olympic Trials: Captured first place honors in the 1,500 meters to win a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team ... Ran a career-best 3:35.90, then the top time by an American in 2000.

2001 Track & Field Season (Junior): An NCAA qualifier in the 800 meters (1:46.83, #3 all-time at Stanford) and 1,500 meters (3:37.56) ... Captured the Pac-10 title in the 1,500 meters (3:43.30) for a second straight season as the Cardinal finished 1-2- 3-4 ... Later at the NCAA's in Eugene, finished sec-ond ... Placed third in the 800 meters at the conference championships ... Helped lead Stanford to victory in the distance medley relay at the 2001 NCAA Indoors ... At the USA Outdoor Championships, finished fourth in the 1,500 meters in a time of 3:38.02.

2000 Track & Field Season (Sophomore): Helped lead the Stanford men's track & field team to its first NCAA team title in 66 years ... Captured the NCAA title in the 1,500 meters in a time of 3:37.76 ... Also ran an NCAA qualifying time in the 5,000 meters at 13:44.60, the third best time in school history ... Ran the anchor leg on Stanford's winning distance medley relay team at the Drake Relays ... Ran the 1,600 meters in 3:56.5, equivalent of a 3:57.6 mile ... He helped lead Stanford's distance medley relay team to a time of 9:32.86, the fastest outdoor collegiate time Jennings also placed seventh in the 3,000 meters (8:04.96) at the NCAA Indoors ... Winner of the Stanford's Block "S" Outstanding Male Sophomore Award ... Ran a 3:59.91 in the outdoor mile at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene.

Finished seventh in an extremely strong field in the 1,500 meters at the U.S. Track & Field Championships ... Won the Vancouver Sun Harry Jerome Classic 1,500 meter title at 3:40.41 ... A member of the USATF middle distance development crew that competed in Europe ... Ran a 3:39.83 in Birmingham, England ... Competed indoors where he helped the team win the MPSF indoor crown with fourth place points in the 3,000 meters and as a member of the distance medley relay team.

1998 Track & Field Season (Freshman): An outstanding freshman season ... Finished a close second in the 1,500 meters to gain All-America honors at the NCAA Outdoors ... Ran the fastest time in the prelims, 3:40.54, also a then-freshman record ... An NCAA qualifier in three events, the 800, the 1,500 and 3,000 meters, the only freshman in the nation to do so ... Ranked as the #1 freshman in the United States at 1,500 meters, the mile, and the 3,000 meters ... Ranked as the #2 freshman in the United States at 5,000 meters behind teammate Jonathon Riley ... At the Pac-10 meet, finished third in the 5,000 meters ... Finished fourth in the 3,000 meters at the NCAA Indoor Championships to gain All-America honors ... The first American Junior to run a sub-4:00 mile (3:59.32) in 12 years ... His time of 7:58.40 for 3,000 meters is the second fastest ever by an American Junior ... At the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene in 1997, ran a 4:02.81 in the mile, then a personal best by five seconds and the fastest prep mile in 23 years ...
