2001 Track & Field Season (Junior): An NCAA
qualifier in the 800 meters (1:46.83, #3 all-time at
Stanford) and 1,500 meters (3:37.56) ... Captured
the Pac-10 title in the 1,500 meters (3:43.30) for a
second straight season as the Cardinal finished 1-2-
3-4 ... Later at the NCAA's in Eugene, finished sec-ond
... Placed third in the 800 meters at the conference
championships ... Helped lead Stanford to victory
in the distance medley relay at the 2001 NCAA
Indoors ... At the USA Outdoor Championships, finished
fourth in the 1,500 meters in a time of 3:38.02.
2000 Track & Field Season (Sophomore): Helped
lead the Stanford men's track & field team to its first
NCAA team title in 66 years ... Captured the NCAA
title in the 1,500 meters in a time of 3:37.76 ... Also
ran an NCAA qualifying time in the 5,000 meters at
13:44.60, the third best time in school history ... Ran
the anchor leg on Stanford's winning distance medley
relay team at the Drake Relays ... Ran the 1,600
meters in 3:56.5, equivalent of a 3:57.6 mile ... He
helped lead Stanford's distance medley relay team to
a time of 9:32.86, the fastest outdoor collegiate time
Jennings also placed seventh in the 3,000 meters
(8:04.96) at the NCAA Indoors ... Winner of the
Stanford's Block "S" Outstanding Male Sophomore

States at 1,500 meters, the mile, and the 3,000 meters
... Ranked as the #2 freshman in the United States at
5,000 meters behind teammate Jonathon Riley ... At

Championships in Annecy, France, where he finished

school milers in the last 25 years ... Won nine state
titles and set the Wisconsin 1,600 meter record of
4:04.97 ... Also took the high school 1,500 meters
two straight years at the Penn Relays ... At the
Prefontaine Classic in Eugene in 1997, ran a 4:02.81
in the mile, then a personal best by five seconds and
the fastest prep mile in 23 years ... Jennings' time was
the seventh best in prep history and the fastest since
Richard Kimball ran a 4:02.4 in 1974 ... At the 1997
