High School: A two-time captain of the Sandia track team ... the 2008 and '09 New Mexico state champion in the 800 meters ... a 2009 high school All-American in the 800 ... also a state champion at 400 meters in 2008 ... placed second in the 400 and third in the 200 at the 2009 state meet ... led Sandia to a state runner-up finish in 2009 ... holds the Sandia school record for the 200 (22.14), the 400 (49.2), the 800 (1:52.49) and the 1,600 (4:29.35) ... also played soccer and was an all-state player that led Sandia to a pair of state titles.
