STANFORD, Calif. -- Franklin P. Johnson Director of Track and Field Edrick Floreal has announced the completion of this year's recruiting class. These four student-athletes, two men and two women, will add to an already accomplished class of 16 men and 12 women that were announced earlier in the spring. MEN
Will Drinkwater - Gig Harbor H.S. - Gig Harbor, WA
Drinkwater is a middle-distance runner from the Washington. He received All-State honors in both 2011 and 2012 in the 800 meters and holds a personal best of 1:53.16. He also finished 10th at 2012 state meet in the 1,600 meters completing a difficult double in a personal best of 4:17.45.
Billy Orman - Tuba City H.S. - Tuba City, AZ
Orman is a transfer student from Harvard. As high school a senior, he ran personal bests of 4:05.29 for 1,600 meters ranking him No. 4 in the U.S. and 8:48.63 for 3,200 meters ranking him No. 1 in the U.S. He also earned All-American honors finishing sixth at 2010 Footlocker National Cross Country Championship. He will be going into his sophomore year on the Farm.
WOMEN
Megan Ferowich - Knoxville Catholic H.S. - Knoxville, TN
Ferowich is a long distance runner from Tennessee. She is an All-American cross-country runner with a career highlight of finishing fifth at the Footlocker National Cross Country Championship in 2009. She has personal bests of 5:01.04 for the mile and 10:26.00 for 3,200 meters.
Kiernan Haggarty - Loyola Sacred Heart H.S. - Missoula, MT
Kiernan is a javelin thrower from Western Montana. She has steadily improved each season and has a personal best of 140-1. She is the defending Montana State Champion and currently ranks No. 1 in the state again in 2012. She has the 44th furthest throw in the U.S. so far this year.
