Full Academic All-America Team

STANFORD, Calif. - Garrett Heath was honored as first team All-Academic All-America for men's track and field by ESPN The Magazine. Heath joins 14 others nationally to receive the highest honor for a combination of academic and athletic excellence.

Heath is a nine-time All-American in track and field and cross country who carries a 3.81 GPA in management science and engineering. He recently finished as the national runner-up in the 1,500 meters at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. earlier this month.

Academically, Heath has already been named Pac-10 All-Academic first team for the second straight year. Heath is also a three-time USTFCCA All-Academic All-American for track and field. He has been awareded numerous honors by the Pac-10 for both cross country and track as well as by the MPSF for indoor track.
