Final Stats

Stanford, Ca - The HSI 400 meter relay team of Kaaron Conwright, Leonard Scott, Ato Bolden, and three-time world champion Maurice Greene, raced to the top time in the world in the 400 meter relay this year to highlight Saturday's activities at the Stanford Invitational at Cobb Track & Angell Field. HSI was timed in 39.37.

UCLA's Chelsea Johnson set a collegiate record and became the fifth all-time women's pole vaulter as she leaped over the bar at 15-0. Her mark was fifth in the world this year. Johnson's vault also broke the meet record of 14-1 1/4 (4.30m) set by Tracy O'Hara of UCLA in 2002.

Nicole Teter ran the best time in the United States and fourth in the world this year in the 1,500 meters (4:11.50). Stanford freshman Arianna Lambie, competing in her first collegiate race, qualified for the NCAA's Regionals with a fourth place finish and a freshman school record time of 4:17.01. Lambie beat the previous frosh time of 4:17.76 by Lauren Fleshman in 2000. Katie Hotchkiss also qualified for regionals with a time of 4:20.34 while Jeane Goff produced a season-best 4:32.23.

Six-time All-American Jill Camarena easily qualified for the NCAA Regionals with a victory in the shot put (57-4 3/4, 17.49m) as she tied her school record set last year. Samantha Shepard produced a season-best 13-0 1/4 (3.97m) in the pole vault to become an NCAA Regional qualifier. A third place finish in the triple jump (50-4 3/4, 15.36m) by Solomon Welch earned him a trip in the Regionals. Other regional qualifiers were Nashonme Johnson in the 400 meters (54.58), Chinny Offor in the 800 meters (2:06.17), Ashley Freeman in the 800 meters (2:09.54), Andrew Powell in the 1,500 meters (3:47.24), Sarah Hopping in the hammer (190-1, 57.93m), Donielle Colich in the hammer (180-9, 55.10m) and Jessica Pluth in the hammer (173-8, 52.94m)
