At Stanford: Earned two first-team indoor All-America honors in 2013, placing fourth in the mile and eighth in the distance medley relay, and then was anAll-America honorable mention outdoors.
2013 Season: Outdoors - Advanced to his first outdoor NCAA Championships, running 3:45.48 in the 1,500 semifinals to finish 21st overall and earn All-America honorable mention ... named to the Pac-12 All-Academic second team ... placed fourth at the Pac-12 Championships(3:42.36) ... ran a personal best 3:40.43 while finishing 10th in the fast section of the Payton Jordan Invitational ... the time was ninth-fastest among collegians through the NCAA's ... second in the Big Meet in the 800 (personal best 1:50.39) and 1,500 (3:55.53) ... eighth overall at the NCAA West Prelims (3:49.80). Indoors - Placed fourth in the mile at the NCAA Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., running 3:59.70 ... it was Stanford's best finish at the meet, among men and women ... earned another first-team All-America honor at the meet by leading off (1,200) the eighth-place distance medley relay team (9:39.22) ... led off the Stanford-record breaking DMR that ran 9:28.25 at the Alex Wilson Invitational ... broke four minutes for the first time in the mile by establishing a personal record of 3:58.85 to finish second behind teammate Michael Atchoo at the MPSF Championships in Seattle ... became the 14th Stanford runner ever to run sub-4 ... hampered by injuries much of the season, but competed in four meets, running the mile four times (including the NCAA prelims) and the DMR three times.
2012 Season: Outdoors - Placed fifth at the Pac-12 Championships in the 1,500, in 3:48.63 ... advanced to the NCAA West Preliminary Round, reaching the semifinals where he placed 17th, in 3:50.08 ... ran a personal best 3:40.53 at the Payton Jordan Invitational ... it was the 10th-fastest time in Stanford history ... earned Pac-12 Athlete of the Week honors after he he won both the 800 and 1,500 at the Big Meet at Cal ... his 800 time in that meet was a personal-record 1:50.59 ... named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic team ... earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention honors. Indoors - Placed third in the mile at the MPSF Championships in 4:01.23 ... named to the MPSF All-Academic team.
2011 Season: Outdoors - Qualified for the NCAA Preliminary Round in the 5,000 ... placed fifth in the 3,000 at the Big Meet, in 8:18.14 ... ran a career-best time of 14:04.80 for 5,000 at the Stanford Invitational ... career-best of 3:49.65 for 1,500 came at the Payton Jordan Invitational. Indoors - Placed 10th at the MPSF Championships in the 3,000 with a career-best time of 8:06.84 ... also competed in the mile at MPSF's, finishing 16th ... ran a career-best time in the mile of 4:05.65 at the Husky Classic.
2010 Season: Outdoors - Did not compete. Indoors - Ran a season-best time of 4:06.79 in the mile at the Texas A&M Challenge ... placed ninth in the mile at the MPSF Championships with a time of 4:09.41.
Cross country: Named to the 2012 All-West Region team after placing 10th at NCAA West Regionals, which Stanford won, and advanced to the NCAA Championships ... won the 2012 USF Invitational.
High School: Three-time all-state performer in cross country (2006-08) ... the Gatorade Virginia State Track and Field Athlete of the Year in 2009 ... won the 800 and 3200 Virginia state AA titles in 2009, and his performances led Western Albemarle of Crozet, Va., to the state title as a team ... won a national indoor title as the anchor on Western's distance medley relay team ... won four state titles in 2009 in track, including two indoors (1,000 and 1,600) ... five-time All-American in track and field ... four-time state runner-up in 2008, competing in the 1,600 and 3,200 both indoors and outdoors ...
