Brent Hauser, like his twin brother Brad, was no stranger to success on the track for Stanford University.
Twelve times Brent was an All-American, and helped lead the Cardinal to great success, culminated by Stanford winning the NCAA outdoor track & field title in 2000, the school’s first track championship in 66 years.
Four All-American accolades took place in the 5,000 meters outdoors, and another two All-America honors indoors in the 5,000 meters. Brent’s name is displayed prominently in the distance events in the Cardinal record book.
Brent concluded his Stanford career by competing in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Sacramento.
Brent also influenced the success of the Stanford cross country program, competing from 1995-98 and helping lead the Cardinal to four NCAA Top-5 finishes, including the NCAA championships in 1996 and 1997.
He graduated from Stanford in June, 2000, with a degree in Human Biology.
