2000 Track & Field Season (Freshman): Voted the Pac-10 Women’s Track & Field Newcomer of the Year …Set the freshman school record in the 1500 meters at 4:17.76 to gain All-America honors at the NCAA Championships at Duke University … Finished fifth at the NCAA’s, after posting a second place finish at the Pac-10 Championships at Oregon … An NCAA qualifier in the 5000 meters … Set an American Junior record and a Stanford freshman record in the 5000 meters with a time of 15:50.18 at the Mt. 2000 Cross Country Season (Sophomore): Stanford’s top finisher at the Pac-10 Championships with a third place showing … Followed that up with a second place finish in helping the Cardinal win the NCAA West Region crown, and then gained All-America honors with an eleventh place finish (Stanford’s top finisher) at the NCAA’s as Stanford placed third nationally … Produced three top-five finishes in five races.
1999 Cross Country Season (Freshman): Competed as one of Stanford’s top runners throughout the year … Capped off the year as Stanford’s top runner at the NCAA Championships, finishing fifth and earning All-America honors … Ran in six races, and finished no lower than fifth in five of those races … Placed third at the Pac-10 and NCAA West Regional meets … Participated in the World Junior Cross Country Championships in Portugal.
