MARYLAND-- Stanford is in tenth place at the Truxton Umstead Regatta and 14th at the St. Mary's Women's Regatta after the first of two days of sailing in Maryland.

In Annapolis at the Truxtun, four teams combined for a score of 466 points. Mateo Vargas and Rebecca King in the A Divison have the sixth-best score, at 104, three points out of the top-five. The duo finished in the top-10 in the last six races. Stanford's other divisons finished tenth (Oliver Toole), 12th (B) and 13th (D)

Over in St. Mary's City, the Stanford women are 14th after day one with a combined score of 203 among its A and B two-woman divisions. Sarah Mace and Katie Riklin combined for 95 points in the B Division, ranking 11th among those 18 teams.
