Clinton Hayes, the interim head coach of the 2011 women's national champions at Rhode Island, was named an assistant coach in August, 2011.
"Clinton was a real talent in college for Vermont Sailing, developing into one of the top sailors in the country", said John Vandemoer, who will enter his fourth season at the helm in the fall. "In his first year of coaching, he brought a national championship to URI and we know his talent and coaching will help us bring championships here to Stanford. We are all really excited to have Clinton on board and we are looking forward to the 2011-12 season."
