Eddie Conrad hails from New Orleans, LA, where he grew up sailing optimists out of Southern Yacht Club, traveling on the regional circuit throughout Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. After the optimist, which gave him his first taste of international competition at the age of 13, Eddie graduated into Laser Radials and Club 420s, but began spending more of his time sharing his passion of the sport as a coach of several junior programs. He loves all watersports, but especially sailing, both for the friendships and variety of competitions that he will be able to enjoy until an old age.
