STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford women's epee fencer Francesca Bassa was named one of seven CollegeFencing360.com Primetime Performers for the week of Jan. 18-Feb. 3, announced by the site Wednesday.

Bassa went 22-6 at the Northwestern Duals and led the women's fencing team to a 7-5 finish in the tournament.

The two-time All-American recorded key victories in matches against No. 1 Princeton, No. 2 Notre Dame, No. 4 Ohio State, No. 7 Northwestern and No. 9 Temple.

Bassa returned to Stanford after not competing during the 2012 season to pursue a spot on the U.S. Olympic team.

The Stanford fencing team is 11-6 on the season and returns to action on March 9 at the NCAA Western Regional Tournament in San Diego, Calif.
