| All-American Warren Goodrich was the Indians' shortstop from 1952 to 1954, possessing a strong arm, great range and a solid bat. The team's MVP in 1953, he was part of one of Stanford's best teams early on, as the 1953 squad advanced to the school's first College World Series behind a then-school-record 29 wins. He joins Frank Duffy (1967) and Roger Burnett (1991) as the only two Cardinal shortstops to be named All-Americans. | |||||||||||
