Sam Morley had the good fortune to be Stanford’s top receiver when All-American Bobby Garrett was under center. Morley garnered Associated Press first team All-American honors in 1953 was also a two-time all-conference selection. In 1953, he led the team with 45 receptions for 594 yards and six touchdowns. In 1952, Morley had 40 catches for 523 yards and six touchdowns. He finished his career with 100 receptions.
