| The outfielder spent four seasons with the Cardinal from 1973 to 1976, earning team MVP honors as a senior after batting .298 with a team-high 12 homers and 49 RBIs. The two-time first team all-conference shortstop hit .307 over 214 career games as the team's starter all four seasons. Davis reached the Major Leagues in 1979 with the Cubs after being drafted in the 14th round. The Cardinal, coached by Ray Young, won 42 games in 1976 and 37 games in 1973 and 1975. Davis was also inducted into the City of Campbell Hall of Fame in 2010. | |||||||||||
