| A third team All-American in 1983 and World Series Champion at the end of his Major League career in 1996 with the Yankees, Mike Aldrete was one of the decade's best. The four-year letterman set the school-record for doubles (45), while hitting .356 with 175 career RBIs, both second all-time. He also compiled 21 homers, 255 hits, while playing in 216 games, all amongst Stanford's annals. In 1982 he hit .354 with a team-best 65 RBIs, before adding a .381 average with 13 homers and 61 RBIs during his All-America season in 1983. He went on to play for the Giants, Expos and Yankees, closing out a decade long career in the Majors, after playing in two College World Series and three NCAA Regionals. | |||||||||||
