| A 1942 co-captain of the Stanford tennis team with teammate Laurence Dee, James Wade was one of the school’s best tennis players in the early 1940s. Wade and Dee won the 1940 national collegiate doubles title, Stanford’s fifth overall doubles crown and the school’s first in four years. | |||||||||||
