A five-time All-American, Jon Louis captured the 1986 NCAA Individual Title in the all-around, making him the only Stanford gymnast besides Steve Hug to ever do so. Perhaps the best Cardinal gymnast in the 1980s, Louis was the third Nissen-Emery Award nominee to attend Stanford, and also competed for the U.S. National Team.
