One of the top butterfliers and relay champions in school-history, Jorgensen was a part of the early-1990s clubs which set the standard for Stanford Swimming. She won three NCAA titles in the butterfly, once in 1993 in the 200 butterfly, as well as in 1990 and 1993 in the 100 butterfly. Jorgenson was also a part of seven NCAA relay titles, leading the Cardinal to NCAA crowns in 1992 and 1993 for head coach Richard Quick. She was also an eight-time Pac-10 champion. Her 27 All-America certificates is second-most in school-history. Prior to coming to Stanford, she was a silver medalist in the 400 medley relay at the 1988 Seoul Olympics.
