| Went 20-4 from 1950-52 as one of the nation's top pitchers. He was twice named all-California Intercollegiate Baseball Association in 1950 and 1952 and was an All-American in 1952. Led the Cardinal to the CIBA championship in 1951 behind an 8-1 record. He was 5-2 as a junior and 7-1 as a senior, while batting .375. The Montana native was a minor league free agent in the Tigers' organization playing in Single-A Williamsport in 1952, before coming home to play for the Oakland Oaks in the PCL in 1953, and he finished up with Double-A Beaumont. | |||||||||||
