| A three-time letterman for Stanford, John Chapple played both linebacker and offensive guard on The Farm. The two-way player anchored the Cardinal offensive line and defensive front in 1963 before moving primarily to defense in ’64 when he led the team in tackles. Chapple combined strength, size and speed and was selected as a first team All-American at guard in 1964. | |||||||||
