| A member of the 1976 Olympic team, racing in the 5000-meters, MacDonald finished seventh with a tiem of 13:47.17 as a 27-year old runner in Montreal. After the 1976 Olympics, he won the AAU 25 km in 1977-78 and represented the U.S. At the 1977 World University Games in the 5000. He returned to his native Hawai'i to coach at Punahou High. | |||||||||||
