| Later a congressman between 1963 and 1995, Don Edwards was a two-year letterwinner on the Stanford golf team in the mid-1930s. He finished second at the 1934 California State Amateur Championship before winning back-to-back Santa Clara County Championships in 1935 and 1936. A San Francisco national wildlife refuge is named in his honor. | |||||||||
