| A three-time Olympic selection and seven-year member of the U.S. national team, Cathy Thaxton Tippett participated with the Stanford club team for three seasons in her time on The Farm, and was a member of three Olympic Teams. In 1976, Thaxton Tippett was named an alternate on the U.S. Olympic Team that rowed in Montreal, then earned a full selection on the 1980 Team. Due to the U.S.-led boycott of the 1980 Moscow Games, Thaxton Tippett’s Olympic debut did not occur until the 1984 Los Angeles Games, where, as part of the U.S. women’s pair with coxswain, she finished in sixth place. | |||||||||||
