Bryan "Dinty" Moore
Class: 1937
Sport: Men's Basketball
Position: ---
Stanford: 1933-1937
"Dinty" Moore, three-time varsity player, had the honor of being captain of the Stanford basketball team that brought the Indians the Helms Trophy, then the unofficial national title, in 1937. Only a junior, Moore won this important position on the 1936 team by virtue of his outstanding play as a sophomore. In that year he was named an all-coast guard; he was, too, the sixth highest scorer on the coast, the only guard to place among the first ten high scorers. That 1936-37 team finished the year at 25-2, to this day the best record of any Stanford basketball team. Dinty went on to marry his college sweet heart Sally, raising five children in Southern California.
