| A three-year letterwinner who helped Stanford capture national championships in golf in 1939 and 1941, Bud Finger returned to the farm in 1948 to begin a 29-year coaching stint. Finger’s one title as coach was earned by the 1953 squad, whose 578 at the NCAA Championships is the lowest score by a Stanford team to win the event. | |||||||||||
