| Bob Blatt competed at the 1948 Winter Olympics in Sankt Moritz, finishing 29th in the men's combined event in alpine skiing and 44th in the men's downhill. Blatt began skiing near his native home of Seattle at Snowqualmie Pass, graduating from Stanford in 1948. In 1938, Blatt won the American Cup downhill and was second in the Pan Am slalom race. A veteran of World War II, in 1946 he won the slalom championship in Germany amongst military personnel after the war ended. | |||||||||||
