Nov. 20, 2006 Junior Josh Zupancic (Akron, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) of the Stanford wrestling team was selected as the Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 13-19. Zupancic helped the team to its first Pac-10 win of the season on Friday, posting a 20-6 major decision over Brian Stills of Cal State Fullerton. On Saturday, the junior rattled off five-straight wins at the Fullerton Open, including a 5-4 decision over Chase Pami of Cal Poly in the final, to take home his first title of the season. This is Zupancic's first Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor. Zupancic and the rest of the Cardinal wrestling squad return to action Dec. 1-2 at the Las Vegas Invitational. 2006-07 Past Winners |
