STANFORD, Calif. -- Stanford's Kathy Kroeger has been selected as the Stanford Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Sept. 24-30.

Kroeger, a native of Franklin, Tenn., led Stanford to a dominating victory at the Stanford Invitational. She won the women's race in a time of 20:13 to capture the individual title.

Stanford scored just 25 points as a team, while second-place Adams State had 136.

This was the third straight Stanford Invitational title for Kroeger, who now has three of the six fastest times on the 6,000-meter course at the Stanford Golf Course.

It is Kroeger's first Muscle Milk weekly honor of her career and the first for the cross-country team this season.

Also nominated: Alex Bowen (men's water polo), Courtney Haldeman (field hockey), Joe Rosa (men's cross country), Haley Rosen (women's soccer), Eric Verso (men's soccer), Carly Wopat (women's volleyball).
