Nnemkadi Ogwumike Named Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week
Sophomore Nnemkadi Ogwumike (Cypress, Texas/Cy-Fair High School) of the Stanford women’s basketball team was selected as the Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of April 5th.

The honor is the fourth for Ogwumike this year and fifth for a women’s basketball player overall.
Ogwumike led Stanford to a pair of wins during the week, as the Cardinal edged Xavier 55-53 on Mar. 29 to advance to the Final Four and defeated Oklahoma 73-66 in a national semifinal on Apr. 4. In those two victories, Ogwumike averaged 27.0 points and 15.0 rebounds per game. Against Xavier, she finished with 16 points and a team-high 14 rebounds in 39 minutes. In the win over Oklahoma, Ogwumike scored a career-high 38 points and grabbed 16 boards in 38 minutes while making 12-13 from the charity stripe.
