Stanford to Aid Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort by Opening Stanford Golf Course to Public

Stanford, Calif. - For the first time since 1929, the prestigious Stanford University Golf Course will be open for public play on Monday, September 19. All proceeds generated on this day will go to the American Red Cross for the Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort. The public is invited to reserve tee times for this one-time only event by calling the Stanford Golf Course at (650) 323-0944.

All revenues from green fees ($100 per player) and carts ($12.50/optional) will be donated directly to the Red Cross to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Space is limited and the public is encouraged to make reservations in advance.
