Athens, Greece - Former Stanford women's soccer player Julie Foudy (1989-92) became the first Stanford associate to participate in the 2004 Olympic Games when she played for the U.S. women's soccer team in a 3-0 victory over Greece in Preliminaries Group G action on Wednesday. Foudy started the game, took two shots and recorded 71 minutes of action. The Opening Ceremonies for the 2004 Olympic Games will be held on Friday, August 13 (12 pm, PDT).
