Dwelley Wins Muscle Milk Athlete of the Week Honor

muscle milkSTANFORD, Calif.-- Senior Kate Dwelley was named the Stanford Athletics Muscle Milk Athlete of the Week following two wins, and a runner-up finish at the Pac-10 Championships last week.

Dwelley helped the Cardinal to its second-straight Pac-10 title, as the senior freestyler won the 200 free for the third time in her career and with a win in the 100 free, helped the Cardinal comeback and pass Cal on the final day of the competition. Dwelley also finished as the runner-up in the 50 free and was the anchor leg for the conference-winning 200 free relay on Thursday.

In winning her signature event her freshman, junior and senior seasons, Dwelley is the first Cardinal to ever win the 200 free three times at the Pac-10 Championships.

Stanford now prepares for the NCAA Championships, which begans in mid-March.
