Kori Carter Named Muscle Milk Athlete Of The Week

STANFORD, Calif. - Sophomore Kori Carter (Claremont, Calif. / Claremont) of the Stanford women's track and field team was selected as the Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 16-22.

Carter broke her own school record in the 60-meter hurdles by running 8.31 to edge teammate Katie Nelms to win the Bronco Invitational. Carter ran two hundreths faster than her previous record of 8.33 set last season.

Carter also helped Stanford win the 4x400-meter relay by anchoring the team that ran 3:41.74. Individually, Carter placed fourth in the open 200 meters, running a time of 24.54.

This is the first Stanford/Muscle Milk honor of Carter's career. She currently holds the Stanford records in the indoor 60-meter hurdles as well as the 100- and 400-meter hurdles outdoors.
