As a Junior in 2013:

  • Named first-team All-American by the AVCA and Volleyball Magazine 
  • Named to the All-MPSF first team 
  • Named to the MPSF All-Academic team
  • Received the Block "S" Outstanding Male Junior Award at the Stanford Athletic Board awards 
  • Fourth in the NCAA and MPSF in kills per set (4.01), fifth in the MPSF and sixth in the NCAA in points per set (4.57) 
  • Moved up to No. 6 in Stanford career kills in rally-scoring era (963) and No. 10 in career digs (384) 
  • His 417 kills were ninth-most at Stanford in rally-scoring era 
  • Twice had four aces, against Pepperdine and USC, which is No. 5 in a match in the rally-scoring era
  • Had match-high 24 kills in a dramatic five-set comeback victory against Pacific (Jan. 12)

  • Had career-high 26 kills, with a .450 hitting percentage in a four-set victory at Cal State Northridge (Feb. 11)
  • Had nine consecutive matches with double-figure kills, from Jan. 28-Feb. 25

As a Freshman in 2011:

  • Played in 24 matches, making 22 starts 
  • His 179 kills was the third-best on the team 
  • Posted a .591 attack percentage at UC Irvine (March 4), the highest single-game mark for the team on the season 
  • Had double-digit kills in eight matches, reaching the 14-kill mark twice 
  • Had a momentum-changing block in the fourth set against UCLA (Feb. 25), sparking a 7-2 run that won the set and match

International:

  • Played for the United States at the FIVB Junior World Championships along with Steven Irvin and Eric Mochalski, in Brazil in August
  • Team placed fourth, the best-ever for the U.S. in the tournament 
  • Totaled 13 kills in the tournament 
  • Played for the U.S. team that captured the NORCECA Junior Continental championship in Quebec, Canada, in August, 2010, a qualifier for the Junior Worlds

High School/Club:

  • A 2010 graduate of Soquel (Calif.) High School 
  • Played for Bay to Bay Volleyball Club, which became the first team to go undefeated in every NorCal Volleyball Association tournament, in 2010

  • Was the SCCAL's player of the year for his class as a freshman, sophomore, and junior at Soquel
