INDIANAPOLIS – Stanford men’s swimming completed a successful week of competition Saturday with two athletes finishing in the top 12 at USA Swimming's Phillips 66 National Championships at the Indiana University Natatorium.
David Nolan claimed a ninth-place finish in the 200m IM with a 2:00.35, improving on his prelim time of 2:01.18. Danny Thomson competed in the 800m free and finished 12th with an 8:13.56.
Stanford men’s swimmers combined for eight top-10 finishes over the four-day competition.

This meet was the sole qualifier for the U.S. team for the pool competition at the FINA World Championships, which runs July 28-Aug. 4 in Barcelona. The winner of each Olympic event claimed an automatic spot on the roster.
