STANFORD, Calif. – In its second season of sand volleyball, Stanford opens the home portion of its schedule, March 29-30, hosting No. 3 Hawaii (5-1), No. 6 UCLA (3-1) and Santa Clara (2-1).
Stanford (0-3) will play all of its matches on Saturday at the ACSR Sand Volleyball Courts, located between Taube South and the Graduate School of Business. The non-Stanford matches will be played on campus at Arguello Park, located north of Wilbur Hall.
Sunday’s competition will be a pairs tournament played on all four courts starting at 8 a.m. PT. Admission and parking is free. Competition will happen rain or shine. Fans are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets for seating.
Stanford opened the season in Honolulu, Hawaii, March 7-8. The Cardinal dropped matches to Hawaii (0-5), defending national champion Long Beach State (0-5) and Loyola Marymount (1-4).
