OAK RIDGE, Tenn. – Three individuals including rising sophomore Emmie Kehoe and signees Anne Bertram and Madi Kist competed at Club Nationals last week in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
Kehoe, a native of Vashon Island, Wash., rowed for the Seattle Area rowing club in two events. She started with a fourth place finish in the Senior 2- on Friday. The next day she finished in fifth place with a time of 7:55.281 in the Intermediate 2-.
Bertram, a Washington D.C. native, entered into three races. She closed out the weekend with a second place finish in the Junior 4+ for TBC Racing. Her time of 7:43.645 was just under seven seconds off the lead. She placed fourth in the Junior 8+ on Friday with a time of 6:52.745 and failed to advance past the heats of the Intermediate 8+.
Kist, a coxswain from Maple Glen, Pa., guided two boats at the regatta. She was entered in both the Junior 8+ and the Junior 4+ but was unfortunately unable to advance beyond the semifinals in either event.
Later this week Stanford will be well represented at the Under 23 World Championships in Varese, Italy as recent graduate Daphne Martschenko and signee Devin Norder will represent the United States, Filippa Karrfelt will row for Sweden and Lilly Tinapple will row for Australia.
