100 Breast (3rd--52.43, 2010), 200 Breast (5th-- 1:54.01, 2011)

International Competition: At the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials in Omaha, finished 25th in the prelims of the 200-meter breast (2:15.79).... also finished 25th in the 100 breast (1:02.26)... member of the 2010-2011 U.S. National Teamthanks to his performance in the 100 breaststroke... competed for the U.S at the World University Games in China in 2011... At the U.S. Nationals at Stanford, reached the A Finals of the 200 breast and finish sixth (2:14.26) and ninth in the A Finals of the 100 breast (1:01.76). Was also 17th in the B Finals of the 200 IM (2:03.68)... at the Los Angeles Open to begin the summer, won the 200 breast (2:15.65) and was second in the 100 breast (1:20.52)... swam at the 2010 ConoccoPhillips National Championships in the summer, finishing sixth in the 100 breast (1:01.72) and winning the consolation finals of the 200 breast (ninth)... Also swam at the Los Angeles Grand Prix in the summer of 2010, finishing fourth in the 200 breast (2:14.87)...competed at the 2009 U.S. Open in Federal Way, Wash., where he won a gold medal in the 200-meter breaststroke with a U.S. Open meet record 2:10.38...that time put him 26th in the world for the event...also fell just three-hundredths away from a second medal in the 100 breaststroke by finishing 4th (1:00.60) the 2009 U.S. World Championship Trials in Indianapolis, placed third in 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:10.96... also finished sixth in the finals of the 100 breaststroke (1:00.65) and was second in the "C" Finals of the 200 individual medley...bronze medalist in the 200 breaststroke at the 2008 Victorian Championships in Melbourne, Australia.

2011-12 Season (Senior): Finished his career as a 13-time All-American with 78 points at Nationals following top-16 finishes in four events... finished as a four-time All-American in the 100 and 200 breast, following a tenth place showing in the 100 and 15th place finish in the 200. He was the top Cardinal finisher in both events... part of fourth place 400 medley and fifth place 200 medley teams at NCAAs... was seventh in both the 100 and 200 breast at Pac-12s... won a Pac-12 title in the 400 medley relay, swimming 3:07.32... won the 200 breast at the Pacific Invite, versus Utah, the 100 breast over Utah...also set a pool record at the Arena Invite in the 200 breast in the fall, as well as in the 400 medley relay ... first team Academic All-Pac-12.

2010-2011 Season (Junior): Finished off his third season as a three-time All-American, finishing fourth in the 200 breast (1:54.10) and fifth in the 100 breast (52.97). Both were the third time Lovelace had made the top-16 in both breaststrokes... also part of fifth place 200 medley relay team for the third place Cardinal... ranked fourth nationally in the 200 breast and eighth nationally in the 100 breast... finished third in the 200 breast at Pac-10s and seventh in the 100 breast, eighth in the 200 IM as one of three Cardinal in the A Finals and was also a part of second place 200 medley relay at Pac-10s for the Pac-10 Champions, helping the Cardinal win its 30th-straight title... won the 200 breast with USC during the dual season as well as the 400 medley relay with the Trojans... won the 100 breast against ASU... swept the breaststroke with Pacific... Academic All-Pac-10.

2009-2010 Season (Sophomore): A four-time All-American with a seventh place finish in the 100 breaststroke and a sixth place finish in the 200 breaststroke, also a part of the fourth-place 200 medley relay and third-place 400 medley relay... his time of 52.43 in the 100 breast was the fastest of any Stanford swimmer on the season and ranked third all-time... also had the team's fastest 200 breast time (1:54.25)... placed second in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes and fourth in the 200 IM at Pac-10s...won the 200 breaststroke against USC (2:00.23).

2008-09 Season (Freshman): Earned two All-America honors as a freshman by winning the consolation final of the 100 breast and finishing 11th in the 200 breaststroke at NCAA's... had the NCAA's 10th-best 100 time (52.50) and posted the 13th fastest time in the 200 (1:54.63) Pac-10s finished 5th in the 200 breast (1:54.79), 6th in 100 breast (52.83) 8th in the 200 IM (1:46.38).

High School: An 11-time All-American including four times in the 100 breast (2005-08), three times in the 200 IM (2006-08), and two timesin both the 200 medley and 400 free relays (2005, 2008)...four-time Tennessee state champion; three times in the 100 breast (2005, 2007-08) and once in the 200 IM (2008)...2008 Tennessee high school swimmer of the year...Tennessee state record holder in the 100 breast and 200 IM...member of the 2007-08 U.S. national junior team that competed in Melbourne, Australia, at the Victorian Championships and trained at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO.

Personal: Major is mechanical engineering...parents are Larry, who swam collegiately at Florida State, and Becky...has one younger brother, Chase.
