STANFORD, Calif.-- Sophomore defender Becky Dru has been named the Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 1-7.

The honor is the first of Dru's career and second for a field hockey player this year, with junior Stephanie Byrne the recipient back on Oct. 4.

Dru led Stanford to its fourth consecutive NorPac Championship over the weekend with a dominating three-game stretch. In addition to scoring both goals in Stanford’s 2-0 win over California in the title match, Dru totaled five goals, three assists, 13 points and 20 shots combined over three games en route to being named the Tournament MVP.

The 2010 NorPac Defensive Player of the Year, Dru leads Stanford in goals (13), assists (9), points (35) and shots (83).

Riding its longest winning streak of the season at five games, Stanford (14-5, 5-1 NorPac) is one step away from qualifying for the postseason. The Cardinal will square off against Massachusetts (15-6, 7-0 Atlantic-10) on Tuesday at 10 a.m. PT in an NCAA Play-In game, with the winner advancing to the NCAA Tournament.
