STANFORD, Calif.-- Stanford's Austin Staab won the NCAA title in the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley, and helped set an American record in the 200 free relay to earn the Stanford Athletics Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week.
The three-time Muscle Milk award winner helped the Cardinal finish third at the NCAA meet, after bettering his school-record in the 200 IM (1:41.57) and winning his second career title in the100 fly. Staab swam the second leg of the 200 free relay, as the Cardinal finished with a time of 1:15.26.
Staab closed out the season a a five-time school-record holder and seven-time All-American, as the Cardinal won its 30th-straight Pac-10 title.
